Cookies Policy

Cookies Policy

To ensure the smooth operation of this website, we sometimes place small data files on your device, known as cookies. Most significant websites do this.

This Policy explains how the website uses cookies and other similar technologies, what information is thus collected, for what purpose, as well as how you can control cookies.

1. What are ‘cookiesʾ and ‘similar technologiesʾ

Cookies are small text files that a website (the one visited by the user or a third-party website) sends to the visitorʾs browser (for example: Internet Explorer, Chrome etc.) and which are saved on the device employed by the user to access the respective website (computer, mobile phone etc.).

Thanks to cookies, the website retains, over a period of time, your actions and preferences (for example, login, language, font size and other display preferences). Therefore, you no longer have to re-enter them whenever you return to the website or navigate from page to page.

Cookies are hence used to allow the operation of the website and to make its use easier. Cookies are also used to provide information to those who own the website, based on which general anonymous statistics can be made that allow understanding of how the pages are used, to improve the structure and the content of the website.

Similar technologies, known as ‘pixel labelsʾ, ‘web beaconsʾ, ‘cleargifs’ or ‘pixel tagsʾ are also electronic files, usually consisting of transparent images used to track how one navigates on one or several websites, or to share information, such as newsletters. These are, generally, used when monitoring website traffic is done through third-party services. Technologies are used in combination with cookies to understand how users interact with the pages and content of the website. In order to function properly, ‘web beacons’ are often based on cookies, in such a way that blocking cookies will affect their functioning.

2. Types of cookies

Cookies can be differentiated:

- depending on the domain to which they belong, in:

  • the website’s own cookies – transmitted by the server of the visited website (only it can read or can use an external service to analyse how the website is used)
  • third-party cookies – transmitted by a different web domain than the one of the visited website

- depending on the duration of existence, in:

  • session cookies – they are deleted when the user closes the web browser (for example, they allow the website to ‘rememberʾ the selected information when navigating from one page to another; in their absence, the new page would not recognize the previous activity and, for instance, the shopping cart would always be empty)
  • persistent cookies – they remain on the userʾs device (computer, phone) for a predefined period of time or until they are deleted by the user (they allow ‘rememberingʾ some of your information and of the settings you made, when you visit the website in the future).

Some cookies, session or persistent, are strictly necessary (essential) for the operation of the website, and can be stored on the device used, without your consent. However, storage of all the other types of cookies can be done only after you express your agreement.

3. What and how we use cookies and similar technologies

When you visit the www.parkpay.world website, we can place both our own cookies and third-party cookies, both in the session and persistent category, as detailed below.

Upon accessing the website, we display a cookie banner to inform you about the cookies and to allow you to express your options.

Except for the strictly necessary cookies, which are automatically placed on the website when it opens, the other cookies are placed only after you have accepted this (either by clicking the Accept Cookies field in the banner or by continuing browsing the page). Moreover, if you have accessed the Cookies Settings field in the banner, we will place cookies only according to the preferences you have saved.

If you have accepted all cookies, we will save this preference for a period of 7 days, so that we do not re-display the cookie banner in the subsequent visits from the same browser, during that period.

However, if you later decide to block or, if necessary, delete all cookies (details in Section 4 below), we will display the banner upon each visit of our website.

In all cases, the placement of cookies is generally done only to the extent that the saving of cookies is not blocked at the level of the browser you use.

You can always withdraw your cookies consent or reset your options – details in Section 4 below.

Below you will find information about the cookies used, their purpose and how long they are stored on the device used to access our website:
