3. What and how we use cookies and similar technologies

When you visit the www.parkpay.world website, we can place both our own cookies and third-party cookies, both in the session and persistent category, as detailed below.

Upon accessing the website, we display a cookie banner to inform you about the cookies and to allow you to express your options.

Strictly necessary cookies 

They are essential for the functioning of the website. They are used to make the website usable by enabling basic features, such as enabling user authentication, page navigation and access to secure areas on the website, to prevent fraudulent use of user accounts or to provide site-specific features. The website cannot function without these cookies. These are:

*Cloudflare.com provides web optimization and security service. From a technical point of view, the cookie generated by it appears as being generated by the parkpay.world domain.

According to Cloudflare’s data processing policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/), to facilitate its global operation, it can transfer or access information anywhere on the globe. According to Cloudflare, when transferring personal information from the European Economic Area or from Switzerland, outside this area, it complies with the standard EU contractual terms or the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Preference cookies 

They are used to remind us of information you set or used in a previous session. These are:

Statistic cookies, for measuring traffic 

They allow us to calculate the number of visitors and see how the visitors move on the website when using it. The data is collected and reported anonymously. This helps us to improve the websiteʾs pages and content and, in general, how the website works. These are:

* Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information, in anonymous format, on the number of visitors to the website, the geographical areas they come from, the websites from which the visitors came to the site, the pages visited on the website and the usage time. From a technical point of view, these cookies appear to be generated by the parkpay.world domain.

We use the information to compile reports and to help us improve the website.

According to Google, it has servers worldwide; it is possible that the information collected be processed through servers located in a country other than the one in which you live. According to Google, regardless of where the processing is done, it offers the same level of protection as described in its privacy policy and complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield.

** For security reasons, we use an automatic masking system for a portion of each IP address, which makes it impossible to identify a particular visitor through the IP address alone.

Functionality cookies 

They are used to recognize you when you return to the website, after you closed the previous session. These are:

*Tawk.to provides Live Chat functionality. The cookies installed help identify and track visitors, so that to enable connection to chat conversations and to help improve this service. From a technical point of view, the two cookies appear to be generated by the parkpay.world domain.

According to Tawk.toʾs data processing policy (https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/), it may periodically transfer personal information to countries outside the United States of America. In accordance with its data processing policy, Tawk.to complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield regarding the collection, use and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States.

Social media platform cookies 

ParkPay is active on two social media platforms (Facebook and LinkedIn), to improve our online presence and visibility. The icons of the two platforms are displayed on the website. However, the website does not set cookies for this display when you browse on our website.

If you click on the LinkedIn or Facebook icons, you will be redirected to the respective websites (LinkedIn, Facebook) that have each their own cookies and privacy policies over which we have no control. It is advisable to carefully read those policies before continuing to browse those websites.

About the data collected through our own cookies:

Our own cookies allow us to collect the following types of information:

• Location: country, region, city, approximate latitude and longitude (geolocation)
• Date and time of the request (visit to the website)

Furthermore, the following types of data may be collected as a result of using our own cookies, in particular to increase the accuracy of the generated statistical reports (on anonymous basis):

• ID Random Unique Visitor Identity
• Date and time of the first visit of a specific visitor
• Date and time of the subsequent visit of the specific visitor  
• Number of visits of the specific visitor

Park Pay SRL holds control over the data collected through its own Cookies, by storing them on the dedicated servers (Microsoft Azure). All analysis data communications are encrypted using the HTTPS protocol. Site traffic analysis reports can only be accessed by ParkPay SRL, through personnel authorized for this purpose or by authorized external subcontractors (as a rule, IT service providers), used for the purpose of analysing, developing and maintaining the website, including in order to prevent or limit the effects of any potential fraud.

In order to use the website, it is not mandatory to accept the cookies that are meant to increase its functionality, but they will provide a more enjoyable user experience.

If you have accepted these cookies, you can delete or block them (see Section 4 below), but if you do this, a part of the websiteʾs functionalities will no longer work as intended.

Please keep in mind that the information regarding our own cookie modules is not used to personally identify you, and the types of data collected through our own cookies are under our full control. These cookies are not used for any purpose other than those described above.
